Star Wars Darth TaterFrom ToyReviewThis creative invention by Playskool is a combination of the popular Mr Potato Head character seen in both Toy Story films and Darth Vader from the Star Wars Trilogies. Darth Tater comes fully equipped with the following accessories:
[edit] Darth Tater's FeaturesAll the accessories can be moved around to create different appearances and silly faces. The Potato Head itself has three holes vertically down the front for the nose, eyes and mouth or for the mask. If you want him to wear the mask, he cannot also have a nose but the mask allows for the eyes and mouth. There are two holes on either side of the Potato Head for his ears and arms and a hole on the very top of his head for the helmet. Again, he cannot wear both ears and helmet. A black cape comes with the set that has a hole in each of the top corners. This is so you can attach the cape under his arms (thread the top of the arms through the holes then attach to the body). Underneath Darth Tater is a long slot for you to insert the shoes; unlike the rest of the body, you can position the shoes where you like in order to tilt the body. On his bottom you will find a small square that opens; this enables you to keep the smaller accessories inside him if you're not using them. Darth Tater can be transformed into a minimum of five different characters, from a naked potato to a full on Darth Vader look-alike! The toy has a recommended age group of 24 months plus, I'm sure many adult Star Wars fans will find this toy just as fascinating and fun as young children. [edit] Mr Potato HeadThe original Mr Potato Head was created by a man named George Lerner in the early 1950's for a breakfast cereal toy. However, the launch was rather unsuccessful so Lerner took the product to a newly formed Hasbro and explained the idea. Mr Potato Head was Hasbro's first successful toy and has been popular for over 50 years. It is rather amazing that a toy resembling a potato could be such a huge player in the toy market!
