Wearing the glitziest outfits around the girls are dressed to get noticed in these daring outfits! Knee length socks, mini skirts and tiny tops are what this theme is all about – and thick make-up that's full of glitter! Barbie is just one of the characters featuring in this collection, and is joined by her friends Madison, Chelsea and Nolee. Each girl has a second sparkling outfit and they all come with heaps of accessories, including their very own bling bling ring! Barbie looks as though she's ready to make a fashion statement in her outfit – and she’s definitely got the confidence to pull it off! Barbie's new look in the My Scene collection has been well received by some and not so well received by others; some people think her clothes are too daring and her make-up too much (a bit like the Bratz dolls) and that Mattel should have stuck to the traditional Barbie line, however others love the new Barbie My Scene and she has definitely made an impact with 'tween' girls! All the My Scene girls have their own style and attitude that makes them individual – so at least one good thing can be learnt from them! Barbie is suitable
for children 6 years +. [edit] Barbie's Glamouras AppearanceBarbie has her usual long blonde hair, but in this theme it is slightly wavy and styled to add volume to it. She has big, blue eyes and wears two different shades of pink eye shadow to bring them out. The eye make-up is full of glitter to give the impression her eyes are sparkling. The make-up is heavier than the traditional Barbie would wear, but suits her new look. She wears black mascara to separate her eyelashes and black eye liner for further definition. Her eyes are a lot bigger than in the traditional Barbie line and somehow they make her look as though she has more attitude! Perhaps it's her full pouty lips that add to that effect too and she doesn’t smile in this collection either. Her lips are covered in a dark purple pink glittery lipstick and she wears a darker shade of lip liner around the edges. The make-up and facial features do resemble the look of the Bratz Dolls, and perhaps this is what Mattel thinks 'tween' girls are looking for. However that's where the similarities end; Barbie is taller than the Bratz dolls and more realistically proportioned.   
Barbie has two glitzy outfits in this collection and loads of funky accessories. Barbie's first outfit consists of a sparkly silver top and blue mini skirt. The top is a halter neck and does up around her back with a single piece of material. There's a big split right up the front of the top to reveal her pierced belly button. She wears a little silver belly button bar in the centre of her unrealistically skinny waist! The blue skirt feels as though it's made from leather and has white stitching down the front to add detail. There is white lace around the bottom of the skirt and a silver belt around the waist to match her top. The belt has little flowers on with blue gems in the middle. Around her arms Barbie wears a white fluffy shawl with silver material entwined, giving it a glamorous effect. She wears knee high socks and white boots. On one wrist she wears a sparkling watch and on the other she wears a silver bracelet. Around her neck she wears a blue necklace and has matching earrings in her ears. Finally, she wears blue sunglasses on her head to complete the look. Barbie also comes with a second outfit – a sparkling white dress with blue frills at the bottom. Other accessories she comes with are a silver handbag, a mobile phone, make-up and a large sparkling ring. The My Scene My Bling Bling collection really lives up to its name! [edit] Features and ExtrasMy Bling Bling Barbie does look stunning in her glitzy outfit and accessories. It's a daring outfit that not many people could get away with wearing but Barbie manages to pull it off! She really sparkles from head to toe and all the accessories are great. Her facial features give her more attitude than the traditional Barbie and she's far from the fairytale princess she once was!
