International toy craze hits the UK!

Rubix cubes, Hoola Hoops, Yoyo's, Tamagotchi . . . there have been many 'playground' crazes over the years – but sadly none of them originated in the UK. Until now!

Most crazes breed new champions and record breakers and footbag is no exception. In 1997 Ted Martin set the Guinness world record of an incredible 63,326 consecutive kicks taking 8 hours, 50 minutes, and 42 seconds. Undoubtedly Funkix will bring out a whole new array of super skilled players.

Footbags just got smarter…

What is Funkix? FunKiX is a high tech, intelligent, 21st Century version of the classic 80's footbag. It's a craze that doesn't involve kids (or 'big kids') sitting mindlessly in front of a TV screen. It is back to basics showing off your kicking, hitting and juggling skills – with a high tech edge.

It has three main features:

1. It's high tech brain – Funkix is a high tech active sports toy incorporating an electronic 'brain' inside each of the three different models using the latest light, sound and digital technology utlilising function on impact technology. 2. It's size – Funkix is about 3 times the size of a normal footbag 3. Playablility – Funkix is a sports sack, which means that game play and tricks are not just limited to using your feet.

There are three unique versions:

  • Funkix Flash – with ultra bright blue LED lights with multi function strobe effects on impact.
  • Funkix Sonic – easily record and playback words and phrases with sounds resonating from its integrated speaker on impact.
  • Funkix Digi – the smart brain counts the number of hits and times the length of play. Ideal for your keepy uppy skills and competing with friends. High scores are displayed on an in-built digital LCD screen.

All models feature a double wall, bead filled outer shell with the unique integrated electronic brain inside.

Funkix is not just a retro re-release and it's definitely not just for kids.

The good news is that it won't break the bank . . . at only RRP £9.99 – they’ll be flying off the shelves and everyone can have the latest must have gadget of the year.
