Fly Wheels have recently launched the Twin Turbo Launcher, a toy that is extremely popular with young children all over the world; especially boys. The toy is suitable for children 8 years + due to the rapid launching of wheels. Warnings are included with the toy pointing out that the wheels should not be fired at people or animals of any kind.

The toy enables side by side racing and the idea of the game is to see which wheel can be fired the furthest! It is quite difficult however to get both wheels to launch successfully; one wheel often falls off as you pull the cord. There are many Fly Wheels toys available at the moment; other favourites among young players are the 'Fly Wheels Stunt Ramp' and the 'Fly Wheels Basic Launcher'.

Toy Appearance

The base of the launcher comes in a variety of colours; this particular toy is green and black. A real working tachometer is included that has RPM (Revs per minute) of 1000 and a solid shifter with gripped surface for you to hold onto. This helps secure the base and allows your wheels to launch further. At the front of the toy is a high torque rip cord that must be pushed in fully before placing the wheels on the launcher. When you are ready to go, you pull out the cord quickly which turns the dials and releases the wheels. Two wheels are included in the set; one has a silver alloy and the other black, so you can differentiate the wheels from one another; this is useful if two of you are playing against each other.

Performance

Each Fly Wheels wheel has a performance rating printed on the packaging, so you can view the figures before choosing your wheel! The two wheels in this set are called the Panther (BF Goodrich) and the Tenzo (Falken), there performance ratings are as follows:

Panther

• Speed = 7/11
• Street Traction = 8/11
• Off-Road Traction = 2/11
• Wet Traction = 4/11
• Distance = 7/11

Tenzo

• Speed = 6/11
• Street Traction = 7/11
• Off-Road Traction = 3/11
• Wet Traction = 5/11
• Distance = 6/11

I hav got a flywheel and i think it is awesome! The official website to flywheels always times out (this is the websites fault as our internet connection is very good and fast).
