Overview

After the giant success of the world renowned Bratz Dolls, MGA Entertainment took the idea of 'the girls with a passion for fashion' even further by producing a number of extension lines. These included 'Lil Bratz', 'Bratz Babyz', 'Bratz Babyz Ponyz', 'Bratz Big Babyz', 'Bratz Big Babyz Ponyz', 'Bratz Petz', 'Itsy Bitsy Bratz' and 'Itsy Bitsy Bratz Petz'. Bratz Big Babyz is one of the most successful spin-offs from the original Bratz girls and a number of collections and toys have been brought out since their debut. The idea behind the Big Bratz Babyz is that they are the original Bratz characters like Sasha, Cloe and Yasmin before they grew up. Each baby has the same characteristics as their older Bratz figure for example Cloe, one of the original Bratz characters has always has bleach blond hair and pretty pale blue eyes, now, so does the Bratz Big Babyz version of Cloe.

The Bratz Big Babyz are not like any dolls you have seen before; they are 13 inches in height, 5 inches of which is their head and their bodies are a very triangular shape. Their heads are large and round with huge wide eyes and small lips, their upper bodies are small but their arms and legs are extremely chunky. Although the dolls are a similar size to products like Baby Annabell and Baby Born, they do not look anything like real babies, more like tiny fashionable toddlers! When you pick the toy up it feels quite heavy and it's hard to hold them like you would a baby due to their solid structure. Their heads move from side to side and their arms and legs can be swivelled; if you move their legs forward to a 90 degree angle you can sit the dolls up which is quite cool! These babyz do not have real hair like the original Bratz dolls, it is made from coloured moulded plastic and contains lines to add detail. On first glace at these toys they look strange, big and unrealistic but if you look closely at them or pick one up they actually have very cute little features and really pretty faces.

Cool Features

• When you buy the babyz and take them out of their packaging their heads are round with two or three holes close to the back. Also in the box are some pigtails that you can attach to the babyz head which makes them look much cuter!

• The babyz can stand up on their own!

Original Big Bratz Babyz Characters

Each Big Bratz Baby has a unique appearance and personality, some of the girls wear little pleated skirts, a top and boots and the others wear a nappy and t-shirt. All the babyz are the same height and shape and they all wear baby bottles around their necks. Their clothes all have a piece of Velcro at the back so changing them is easy and their boots slide on and off smoothly.

• Cloe – This baby has short blond hair and a side fringe, the pigtails that attach to her head are also short and have blue beads on each one. She has pale blue eyes, pale skin and pale pink lips. She wears a denim pleated skirt, pink boots and pink top.

• Sasha – Like her original Bratz character Sasha has dark skin, dark eyes and dark hair. Her pigtails are cute and round to represent afro hair. She wears a black top, black boots and dark denim pleated skirt.

• Jade – This doll has jet black hair, pale skin, brown eyes and red lips. Her pigtails stick out and have cote red hair bobbles attached. She wears a white pleated skirt, black top and black boots.

• Yasmin – Like the original Bratz doll, Yasmin has golden brown hair, tanned skin and stunning green eyes. She wears a pleated dark denim skirt, pale pink boots and a pale pink top. So cute!

• Dana – This little baby has short dark brown hair with pink bows in her pigtails, pale blue eyes and pale pink lips. She wears a nappy and t-shirt both of which are turquoise and dark pink.

• Fianna – This baby has bright yellow hair with a flat chunky fringe and a single ponytail at the back. Her eyes are a lime green colour and she wears pale pink lipstick. She also wears a nappy and t-shirt in the colours pink and lime green.

• Meygan – Baby Meygan is the only baby with long hair which she wears in two side pigtails secured by orange hair bows. She has a chunky fringe and has stunning pale green eyes. She wears a nappy and t-shirt set in the colours orange and pink.

Big Bratz Babyz Collections

Bratz Big Babyz Bubble Trouble

The Babyz are off to the beach in their cute little bikinis with their beach bags and sunglasses. Each doll has a small hole in their mouth and comes with a bottle of magic drink. When they drink from the bottle they make cute hiccup sounds, giggle and can even blow bubbles! The collection includes the four original Bratz; Cloe, Yasmin, Sasha and Jade all of which have a uniquely designed and patterned bikini.

Big Bratz Babyz Fashion Packs

The fashion packs are replicas of outfits worn by the small (original) Bratz dolls in previous collections. There are currently packs of outfits from ' Bratz Step Out', 'Bratz Play Sportz', ' Bratz Birthday Bash' and ' Bratz Wild Wild West'. Each outfit fits any of the Bratz Big Babyz Dolls.

i think the big ones are really ugly. too much plastic. yuck!
