Roley is a main character in the Bob the Builder television series. He is a chirpy steamroller who loves to sing and helps Bob on the construction site whenever he is needed. The toy is an extremely realistic representation of the animated character and has some strange yet cute features for a steamroller! There are a number of different tractors, diggers, machines and human characters to collect alongside Roley; you could even recreate the construction site in your own front room! Bob the Builder is targeted at all young children but this Roley toy his specifically for children 3 years +.

Other vehicles you can purchase

Roley's Features

Roley is approximately four inches tall and has a lime green body, grey wheels and a silver nose. On his right side is a ladder that leads to a raised open area for someone to sit. On top of this area is an orange warning light; a necessity if he is helping Bob on the construction site. Roley has two eyes at the front and when you roll him along the eyes move up and down to make him appear more lifelike! Two large wheels are situated at the back and a grey roller is under his eyes at the front that almost looks like his mouth. By turning the roller from side to side you can control the direction that Roley travels in. Roley is a key vehicle on the building site and a great toy to play with

Wheels

Roley's back wheels are friction powered to make him seem more realistic when you push him along. The motor slows down the toy as though the wheels are fighting to move along; much like how vehicles on a construction site are restricted due to the mud and grit on the ground. By giving the toy a tiny push, the toy travels at a slow constant speed until he comes to a stand still. The motor also controls the eyes; the greater the force in which you push him, the faster he goes and the quicker his eyes move up and down!
