The dolls dress in the latest fashions and know what's hot at the moment. Each has their own unique style and their outfits are put together to create a catwalk look. The Fashion Fever Dolls are hot on accessories and all come with matching handbags, necklaces and shoes. Some have fashionable glasses and hats and you can even buy accessories separately to mix and match with the different styles. Mattel have once again created a popular new theme and kept Barbie up to date with similar products in the market. There are many different dolls to choose from, it seems Barbie has made many friends over the years! These include Gillian Doll, Courtney Doll, Desiree Doll, Drew Doll, Kayla Doll and even Kurt Doll - who's looking extra cute in his denim jacket and jeans! These are just a handful of her friends, there are many more to choose from in this collection. There have been different waves of Fashion Fever Dolls introduced, the first wave being in July 2004 in the US and December 2004 in Europe. There are now many different outfits to choose from for each doll, but you will have to buy the dolls separately if you want to own all their outfits from the different waves. New themes and stories are continuously introduced year after year and it seems each is successful. Fashion Fever is no exception; young girls love the fact that Barbie knows the hottest looks and can pull off all the trendy outfits. Fashion Fever Dolls were first introduced into Europe around the end of 2004 and since then many new waves have been released. It seems young girls can't get enough of the Fashion Fever dolls and collecting them all has become a great hobby for many. The Modern Trends Collection, the Animal Print Collection and the PJ Collection have all been modelled by Barbie and her Fashion Fever friends and in the UK there has even been a Girls Aloud series!  The wave of Fashion Fever dolls introduced in September/October 2005, for example, included Barbie in a mini denim skirt, Barbie in a white dress, Courtney, Drew, Kurt and Gillian. The next wave included other friends such as Kayla and Shannen - keeping up with all the new Fashion Fever waves takes a true Barbie fan! The original Fashion Fever range consisted of Barbie, Kayla, Drew and Teresa but there have been so many other waves since the original four dolls that many more dolls have been introduced. Each new outfit is just as great as the one before it and fashion changes so quickly that Barbie and her friends have to keep up with it! Fashion Fever furniture has also hit the shelves and great items can be bought, such as the Dress Up Dresser and the Entertainment Centre, which both come with dolls included. Fashion Fever Furniture without the dolls can also be purchased, such as the Velvet Crush Couch and the Kitty Corner. [edit] Fashions and StylesThere have been so many waves of Fashion Fever Dolls but each doll has their own individual appearance and style. Each doll is designed with careful detail and their outfits are all designed to suit their character. The four original Fashion Fever Dolls (Barbie, Kayla, Drew and Teresa) remain in most of the waves and their new look each time is just as good as the previous look. All the new dolls are just as stylish and their appearances vary in each wave. The dolls all follow the traditional Barbie look - skinny, long legs and beautiful hair and their facial features are always in proportion, unlike other products such as Bratz Dolls. Each doll comes with different accessories, e.g. handbags, shoes and necklaces, and many other accessories can be bought separately so the outfits can all be mixed and matched. Furniture can also be bought to accompany the dolls and the whole product line is pretty impressive. The best thing about the products is the fact that all the dolls have their own individual style and character, therefore making them great items to collect.
