[edit] Teresa's Description Soaking up the sun, riding the waves and looking fab is what the 'Cali Girl Barbie ' collection is all about! There have been different waves of Cali Girl dolls and although Teresa appeared in the original wave, this particular Cali Girl Teresa was launched in the second wave - along with her beach buddies Barbie, Summer and Blaine. All the characters wear the latest fashion tops and shorts and have some funky accessories - such as sunglasses and suntan lotion. The dolls all have suntanned complexions which makes them all glow with radiance! They also come smelling just like suntan lotion that will stir up beach memories for all those who purchase these dolls! Another great feature of this collection is that all the girls come with painted toe nails - although their feet have been redesigned to fit toe nails on so old Barbie shoes won't fit these dolls! Barbie's traditional look of long legs, beautiful hair and a tiny waist follows through into this collection and all her friends have a similar look too. They are all stereotypically beautiful - but far too skinny to be realistic! Barbie has been popular with young girls all around the world since her launch over 40 years ago, however growing competition in the market has meant that Barbie has had to step things up to keep hold of her position. The Cali Girl collection appeals to older Barbie fans that are more into style and may have been tempted by the Bratz girls. [edit] Doll Surfin' StyleTeresa has a mixture of colours in her hair - from browns to reds to blondes - and she wears the front up to keep it from covering her face. She wears a small plait in a section of her hair and has some stylish yellow sunglasses that sit in the centre of her head. Teresa has blue and grey eyes and separates each eyelash with a coating of black mascara. On her eyelids she wears yellow and pink makeup that makes her eyes brighter. She has a sun kissed complexion and accentuates her cheekbones with a touch of pink blusher. Her mouth is slightly open and her perfect white teeth can be seen. On her lips she wears a baby pink shade of lipstick and looks set to have some fun in the sunshine! She looks as though she's smiling - but who wouldn't be if they were on the beaches of California with all their friends! Teresa looks like she's ready to sunbathe and add to that already gorgeous tan. Her toe nails are painted a golden brown colour and she carries a bottle of suntan lotion to prevent her from peeling.   
Teresa wears a stunning peach coloured top that does up around the neck and shows off her shoulders. There is brown stitching around the edges and a picture of a sunset with two palm trees on the front, which are a baby pink colour. The material going around the neck is a lighter peach colour and the back of the top is a baby pink colour that matches the design on the front. She wears this with tiny blue/black mini shorts that have orange stitching - which gives them a denim effect. The shorts are the shortest in this collection and go all the way up to her hips, making her legs look extremely long. Both items of clothing do up at the back with velcro so they can be put on and taken off easily. Teresa also wears a pink netted belt around her waist with purple and orange designs on. She looks ready to paddle in the sea, or maybe get into a good book while relaxing on the sand.
