Baby Annabell Close Up

Baby Annabell, created by Zapf Creations is one of the most realistic, popular baby dolls the world has seen. This small doll is 18 inches in length and acts like a real baby; she burps, giggles, cries, yawns, even suckles on her bottle and therefore must be looked after properly to ensure she remains happy and quiet. She is even alert to sound or movement and wakes up if someone makes a noise. When she sleeps she closes her eyes and you can hear her breathing, sometimes gently snoring.

This doll is great for young girls as it teaches them nurturing skills and how to look after someone from an early age. It also allows them experience love and responsibility and helps prepare them for motherhood. The newest version of Baby Annabell cries actual tears after she has drank some water to make her that little bit more realistic. Baby Annabell comes with high quality clothes and some really sweet additions, such as the Metal Canopy Bed, which is pink and white with some lovely pattern detail. Ideally she is for children above the age of 3.

History

Baby Annabell hit the shops a few years ago with the intention of becoming a popular functionality doll, since then, she has been a top selling product for many high street stores and is predicted to continue her success for many years to come. The original doll is 18 inches and has many practical functions. Zapf Creations have also launched a 'My First Baby Annabell' doll that has a similar appearance but is slightly smaller (14 inches) and does not have the functions of the original doll. She does however include additional accessories like another outfit, bottle, bib and bag.

They also released an ethnic version of the doll in both the original (function) style and 'My First Baby Annabell' doll that was also an extremely popular product. Baby Annabell has been a top selling doll for the last few years and demand still seems to be rising. With so many new accessories and realistic features being developed every year, its no wonder young girls are crazy about her.

Being Held

Certain features of this doll make Baby Annabell's appearance extremely lifelike. The main being her motion/sound sensitive functions that enable her to react to her surrounding environment and interact with children on a higher level. Her characteristics are very realistic, everything is in proportion and she almost feels like a real baby when you hold her, her skin is soft and she's easy to cuddle. It's hard to imagine what the creators of this doll will come up with next!

Clothing and Accessories

Baby Annabell's clothes are very sweet; her most traditional colours are pink and white with a picture of a lamb used as her signature animal. A little pink and white hat fits snugly on her head and a dummy in her mouth also attached to her outfit (so it doesn't get lost). There are many accessories you can buy to add to the fun of playing with the doll, such as star shaped dummies with ribbons, gorgeous little shoes and soft detailed fleece blankets. You can also buy much larger accessories to make playtime even more realistic, like Baby Annabell's metal canopy bed, a wooden wardrobe or a pink pram.
