Change fonts and add links
Once you're in the editing section of the website you will notice the toolbar below with 11 little grey buttons on. Each of these little buttons is useful for changing the way your article looks.
- To make your text bold use the 'B' key (first key on the toolbar), which will print out the following: '''Bold text'''. Simply put the text you want to be bold inside the little brackets e.g. '''My Scene Madison Doll'''
- To make your text italic use the 'I' key (second key on the toolbar), which will print out the following: ''Italic text''. Again, put the text you want to be italic inside the little brackets.
- To link to another part of The Toy Review, press the Ab button (third button on the toolbar). For example, if you are writing an article on My Scene Goes Hollywood Madison doll, you may wish to put a link through to the My Scene Goes Hollywood Barbie doll page to show how the dolls differ. The Ab button will print out [[Link title]], so find the heading of the page you want to link to and replace the words inside the brackets: [[My Scene Goes Hollywood Barbie]]. This will make the text link through to the My Scene Goes Hollywood Barbie page.
- If you want to link to an external website (any website other than the Toy Review), perhaps if you know a good website about the toy you're writing about, press the button with the picture of a world on (fourth button on the toolbar). This will print out [http://www.example.com link title] and you will need to replace the writing inside the brackets with the website you wish to link to e.g. [http://myscene.everythinggirl.com/home.aspx].
