Star Wars Chubbies are set to be the next in thing for Star Wars collectors everywhere. They are cartoony looking plastic dolls a bit like the Russian dolls that open up to reveal a smaller version each time. There are currently six in the collection: Obi-Wan Kenobe, Darth Vader, Wookiees, Sith, General Grievous and C-3PO. Each doll opens up to reveal the evolution of the character in the form of two smaller figures – quite a cool idea really!

Apparently, many people take their chubbies to work and sit them on their desks, I’ve also heard that they can be quite distracting enticing you to open them and close them all the time. Anyway if you need some friends in your office then these chubbies could be for you!

The popular Baby Born doll has been around for a very long time but the doll’s recommended age group is usually over the age of 3 years. Well now there’s a ‘My Little Baby Born’ - Baby Born’s little sister who can be looked after and played with by a younger audience of 1 year and above. My Little Baby Born has a soft body but is still able to go in the bath so I think she is a great idea for younger children.

She is available at Amazon.co.uk for as little as £9.74 but she is currently only available at Amazon.com from a seller at $49.99 which is rather expensive.

The popular Barbie holiday doll is currently selling for just $19.99 at Amazon reduced from $49.99 – that’s a 60% cut. The doll was designed by Bob Mackie who is also well known for his previous Barbie models such as Goddess of the Moon Barbie, Le Papillon Barbie and Barbie The Charleston Celebration of Dance Porcelain Collection. The dolls have been extremely successful and get better and better each time a new one is released.

According to the Toy Retailers Association, Baby Born with Magic Eyes is one of the most desired toys this Christmas. She was placed in their ‘Dream Toys 2006’ section along with other expected leading toys such as Bratz and Barbie. She is the only baby doll to be positioned in this section.
